Salem Chamber’s Community Events Committee

The Events Committee is responsible for the Chamber sponsored events that will take place for the calendar year. Each event has a separate committee that facilitates the planning, organizing, and preparation of the event. Committee members also volunteer their time to work at these various events.

Chamber sponsored events include:

• Annual Golf Scramble
• Downtown Dining Experience
• Salem Quaker Fest
• Salem Christmas Parade
• Christmas Light Up Night

Chamber Golf Outing

The SACC Golf Committee plans and executes the Golf Scramble, honoring Al Cleveland, Salem Chamber executive from 1968-1997, featuring the Al Cleveland Annual Putting Contest.

Fund-Raising Events – Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation

The Salem Chamber developed a Foundation and was approved to do business in the spring of 2018. Two fund-raising events are held annually and committee members raise financial support for the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The Reverse Raffle (aka The Lottery) is held every spring and the “12 Days of Christmas” raffle is sponsored in the late fall, leading up to Christmas.
